Hello! I'm Martina and I moved from Bavaria to a Maasai village in Tanzania called Engare Sero on Lake Natron a little over 2 years ago. I fell in love with the country and the people, but when I saw the children going to bed every day without proper food, I had to do something. At first I cooked and distributed food from home, but I soon realized that the children would not go to school anymore. So I started working with the school and bring the food directly to them, because education is the key to fighting poverty! I get a few donations every now and then, but it's difficult to keep that up. Most of the time I use my own money. With all the donations I buy food for the children. Rice, beans, corn, flour, milk, oil, salt, sugar, vegetables and fruit. 100% of the money goes to the children, because my husband and I go shopping directly, nobody else!
